This series comprises records related to the Lutheran Film Associates, Inc. (LFA) production of the film ACTS. The records are from 1965-1973 and include typewritten business correspondence, meeting minutes, film outlines, contracts, agreements, news releases, production notes, news articles, memoranda, evaluation sheets, and a typewritten draft script. Subject matter in this series comprises pre-production and production efforts. Pre-production subject matter includes efforts made to develop guidelines for topic development, research into topics being considered, and the final decision of the film's focus and content. Production subject matter includes agreement and contracts reached with the production company and one of the principal subjects in the film, correspondence pertaining to the film's progress, continuing efforts to find a distributor for the film, audience previews and written feedback provided on the film, promotional efforts including interviews and news articles, and news releases. By far the bulk of the records are correspondence, but it is dispersed throughout the collection.
